March 1: Range Practice

Wake Up 4:25 am. Gym bound first thing in the morning. My friend Josue and I hit some golf balls at the range this morning. I would say I hit 50/50 good vs. ball shots, which is an improvement. Most of the good shots were actually very efficient shots and if playing would have transferred over into playable balls in great position. I was able to tee off and hit about 5-8 beautiful shots…progress in action. I am looking forward to practicing and playing more often this year. I have committed (mentally right now and if possible) to hitting golf balls once per week.

Personal Development- this section is dedicated to reading and learning material of my interests. Currently, my goal is to read the Bible in 1 Year series I found plus other devotionals of my choosing throughout the years; I also intend to read books of my choosing, of which I am up to 4 this year so far (2 audio and 2 print); and other related interests such Daily Stoic, fitness, nutrition, etc. that I may come across.

  • Bible in 1 Year
    • Better Together (day 52) – friendships and marriages are wonderful gifts, having God at the center of a friendship or marriage provides an invisible thread of enormous strength.
      1. Proverbs 5:15-23. Marriage: two become one
        • marriage is a source of blessing, rejoicing, love, grace, satisfaction and romance
        • biblical marriage (Jesus must be present)
      2. Mark 6:6-29. Mission: two by two
        • Jesus sent out his disciples two by two
        • being isolated or alone creates struggles and leaves us weary
        • two are better than one…if either of them falls down, one can help the other up.
        • though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves
        • Friendship and unity are important and biblical parts of life
      3. Exodus 29:1-30:38. Ministry: two lambs
        • ‘Ministry’ means service to God. It is the one sacrifice of Jesus on the cross that enables us to be involved in ministry (service of God and of others).
  • I am going to begin reading The Richest Man in Babylon by George Clason.
